Laura Cramer

Laura Cramer is Science Officer of the Flagship on Priorities and Policies for Climate Smart Agriculture in the CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS). She has worked for CCAFS since 2011 and has been living in Kenya since 2010. Her background is in international agricultural development with a focus on food security and food systems. She has worked previously for Counterpart International and the Cornell International Institute for Food, Agriculture and Development. She holds a BA in Anthropology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MPS in International Agriculture and Rural Development from Cornell University. She is a PhD candidate in the Public Administration and Policy group at Wageningen University where her research focuses on the interfaces between science and policy. Laura is a founding member of the CSA MSP and has served on the steering committee since its inception. She also is the chair of the MSP’s thematic working group on policy engagement. Laura is dedicated to bringing together researchers and decision makers to share knowledge and understanding on climate change and agriculture.
