Joseph Muhwanga works with Climate Resilient Agri-business for Tomorrow (CRAFT) project covering Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania as the Senior Climate Change Advisor. Joseph has a wealth of knowledge and field experience in the implementation of projects and programmes related to climate change, climate smart agriculture, livelihood security and natural resource management, both at national and at multi-country level. Equally he has being involved in the development of various climate change and climate smart agriculture related policies and strategies.
Joseph previously worked with Kenya Market Trust (KMT), PRISE project, International Rescue Committee (IRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (MoALF) among others.

In the recent past, Joseph has co-authored a number of scientific publications, in addition to his previous Handbook titled ‘Early Warning Systems; Indicators, Tools and Structures. For Improved Food Security and Drought Management in the arid and semi-arid Lands’ Published 2004.

Joseph holds a Master Degree in NRM/Sustainable Agriculture from University of Twente -ITC- Netherlands, Bsc in Natural Resources Management from Egerton University.
